Antiques Roadshow

The roadshow is at Pitzhanger Manor in Ealing, west London, where finds include a quirky 18th-century "Harlequinade" children's flip book, a vintage trainer collection and a flying helmet from the Battle of Britain. Alastair Chandler comes across a unique pocket watch that symbolises a family's story on the eve of the Second World War, and Jon Baddeley is enthralled by the story behind a medal awarded to a suffragette. Marc Allum is captivated by a premiere programme for classic sci-fi film Metropolis, while Hilary Kay finds a miniature bottle of medicine fit for a royal doll's house. Frances Christie hears the story of how a pioneering female doctor acquired a work by war artist Eric Kennington, and for Bunny Campione, a doll found in a storage box turns out to be a real treasure. Fiona Bruce learns more about the science behind the recent restoration of Pitzhanger Manor, and Serhat Ahmet challenges her to identify the uses for three rare pieces of porcelain.
